Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Mosque
Surrounded by the beautiful Shah Alam Lake Gardens,
The Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Mosque, one of Shah
Alam's most famous figure, is one of the symbols highlighting
supremacy of the Islam and Muslim sovereignity in
Malaysia.
It is also the largest mosque in Malaysia and one
of the largest in South East Asia. It was completed
in 1988 and officially opened on the 11th of March
of the same year.With its large blue and white dome,
it is actually one of the biggest dome in the world.
Sultan Alam Shah Museum
This blue-roofed State Museum in traditional Selangor
architecture houses some of the finest displays in
the country, providing visitors with an eye-opening
look at the history, culture and heritage of Selangor.
Shah Alam Stadium
Within the central component of the Shah Alam Sports
Complex is the Shah Alam Stadium. Since the official
lauch on July 16 1994, the stadium has successfully
played host to many events that includes both international
and local sports events, tournaments, concerts and
more.
The entire stadium spans an area of 155,000 square
meter, with a massive 6 level semi-enclosed space
with a total amount of 69,372 seats and additional
11,000 standing.
Wet World Water Theme Park
This theme park is Shah Alam's latest attraction and
is an ideal place for a family outing. Offering a
wide variety of exhilarating water games, it has gained
popularity among toddlers and youngsters.
Shah Alam Lake Garden
Shah Alam may be a busy, urban city, there is still
a place for people to relax, and that place would
be the Shah Alam Lake Gardens.
With a manmade lake in the Shah Alam Lake Gardens,
surrounded by vast, landscaped gardens, it is the
perfect place to hold events such as the International
Boat Show and the Selangor Orchid Exhibition.
Malaysia Agriculture Park- Bukit Cahaya
Malaysian Agricultural Park , the only agro-forestry
park around, is located in Shah Alam and the rain
forest spans up to 1290 hectre. The park is unique
because
People come here to either explore, or for recreation.
One of the many reasons to why the park is visited
by many is because of the many activities that is
in store for the visitors. Services provided are live
demonstrations, cultural exhibits, accomodation, permanent
displays and descriptions, and activities for educational
purposes.
Shah Alam Art & Culture Gallery
Situated at the Shah Alam Lake Gardens, the Shah Alam
Gallery exhibits a wide collection of art, local handicraft
and fabrics for viewing and for sale.
State Monument
The Selangor State Monument, located adjacent to the
Selangor State Secretariat building in Shah Alam is
a popular spot for wedding photographies and a tourist
spot. Warrior's Day celebration is held here as well.
Kelab Golf Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah
KGSAAS is located in Shah Alam, the state Capital
of Selangor, which is easily accessible from all major
centres of activity in both Federal Territory and
Selangor. If you are arriving by plane, from Subang
International Airport, travel North-East on the Federal
Highway towards Shah Alam. If you are approaching
from the Port Klang area, follow Persiaran Raja Muda
Musa and Jalan Sultan Ibrahim until you reach the
Persiaran Kayangan roundabout in Shah Alam. The Club
is towards your right-hand side. Either trip should
take you less than 30 minutes.
